DISCOVERY | In order to create an experience of discovery, unknown objects will invite you to explore them. 3d printed sculpted vases that stand for no memory and encourage your imagination. One of the project goals is to analyze digital tools that are able to support creative practice through the stimulation and manipulation of physical objects.

CONCEPT

DIGITAL CRAFTING | 3d modeling and 3d printing with the final finishings by hand-making process illuminates the role of craft in the digital creating process and reveals the importance of human memory and physical experience in the development.

EMOTIONAL AFFECTIVE CODES | The affect on the Human imagination is the key element of the new ways of interaction with the object. Aknown vases were designed by studying the main five Emotional Codes.

CASES OF USE | Adaptability, and dissolving in various options of spaces. The object’s value is to be suitable in any scenario and used in multiply spatial design categories: residential, retail, hospitality. They will bring a value of art and sculpture in every place.

DESIGN

PROCESS | They are unexampled objects and you might never guess its purpose without any flora present. 3d modeled and 3d printed vases out of ceramic powder, kilned at 1100 C for 8-12 hours, covered with slip and glazed in a handcrafted process. Anknown objects, manufactured by the company Kwambio, are made out of materials invented in the laboratory with the use of an additive for high precision manufacturing and 0% shrinkage, which dramatically cuts production time. These vases are an a great example where innovation and digital tools meet with traditional materials and crafts.
