Brief
STIMULATES CREATIVITY | Hamou gives the possibility for the user to be in charge, by stimulating their creativity and decreasing throwaway mentality. It’s a playful, modular furniture system that is able to adapt, by need or choice, to any room or situation. Hamou lets users design, rearrange the space as much as they are able to imagine. Its a united system which establishes a balanced and united relationship between products and people, human and environment. The structure allows integrating the series of clip-on accessories including shelves, speakers and lamps.

Concept
RISE AWARENESS | This project stands for raising awareness, educate and stimulate experiences of the public showing future implementations of materials. Sending direct message to the users it’s a strategic communication and can improve consumer relationship towards the company. The smart customer will opt to buy from the company that’s educated him on the ongoing global issues with sustainability and presented him with the solution. Humanized and Emotional design are key points of the project Hamou and the message was structured accordingly to those.
REARRANGE | REPAIR | REMANUFACTURE The internal units can be moved, rotated and placed to have a side table, aesthetic panel wall, or functional extra shelves. Every time it gets a new function, it triggers the imagination and creates a surprising effect. It is like living and growing in one ecosystem. Modularity and no assembly between the accessories and structure give a possibility to rearrange the composition according to the user needs.
Design
MATERIAL | The material used for this project is “Durat”. It is a unique, sustainable solid surface material contains recycled post-industrial plastics and is 100% recyclable. Durat is available in more than 200 vibrant colors, including a large variety of RAL Classic colors. Easy maintenance and hard-wearing properties make it an ideal material for various kinds of interiors. The Durat Circular concept is a new step towards a comprehensive circular economy and closed material cycle.
REARRANGE | REPAIR | REMANUFACTURE | The surplus pieces generated during the process and, for example, badly broken pieces of furniture that are no longer worth restoring, are crushed and used to manufacture new material. Thus, the production of Durat material is fully recycled without any loss. Restoring products and reusing them is the primary way of extending the product life cycle. This reduces the demand for virgin material and the energy needed to manufacture such. If some furniture is no longer used as originally intended, for example, due to refurbishment, the furniture can easily be restored and modified to suit the new premises.
